Every year, I spend one Saturday in the month of May wandering King Street amid thousands of retro revelers admiring hot rods, feasting on giant pickles and smelling the salty-sweet scent of fresh kettle corn. That Saturday is called Retrofest, and it's been happening in Chatham for the past sixteen years. Three years ago, it was decided we needed to elect a beautiful ambassador each year to add even more eye candy. This year, I was asked to photograph her.
Her name is Miss Crystaline. She's from the Niagara region, she's a kindergarten art teacher (! So awesome!), she has two daughters who are impossibly adorable, a husband who wears straight-legged jeans and newsboy caps like they were made for him and a smile that can stop traffic. She is as kind and sweet as she is stunning, and I am so happy I had the chance to meet her and photograph her.
