Out of all the people in the world, how does a couple know they're a match? How can two people find each other though all the noise, distraction and static? Is it magic, luck, fate or faith? Or maybe the perfect combination of all four?
In Eric and Rachelle's case, my money is on the special blend.
I've known Eric since we were kids; elementary school, actually. When I found out he was getting married and that my husband had suggested my services as a photographer, I was super excited to see him again, and especially excited to meet his fiance. Rachelle did not disappoint, not even a bit. She is an absolute doll. Kind, pretty, smart and funny, Seeing her with Eric just reiterated that half-of-the-same-whole ideology. When two people love each other, they're different when they're together. They smile more, laugh more, they seem more relaxed (even if you're having your photo taken by someone who hear about your first kiss during recess) and they always make me smile.
Rachelle and Eric's wedding was a testament to all those warm-fuzzy feelings. A day full of emotion, lifelong friends, family and love. It was so great to see Eric so elatedly, ridiculously happy, and just as wonderful to spend the day with the woman who makes him that way. Rachel's smile is one of those that lights up a room (I know, totally cliched, but there's really no other way to describe it), and I was lucky enough to see it all day - neither of them stopped smiling, which in turn put smiles on all the faces of their family and friends.
That's what love does. Not only does it fill those who share it with joy, happiness and everything perfect, it spreads it around to all who witness it. Love really does make the world a better place. Thank you Rachelle and Eric, for doing your part.
